ASTRA 900 Series Production Data

Here is the Astra 900 Series production data, as given in Antaris, Astra Automatic Pistols (page 141, Table 900-2). Note that the terminology is a bit confusing. The table is headed MODEL 900 SERIES. The Model 900 and the 900 Series are distinct concepts and should not be mixed up like that. The Model 900 was just one of the seven models comprising the 900 Series.

Antaris arranged the raw factory numbers by serial number block, and lost some information in the process. And even the factory apparently didn't have the data for guns made before 1933. Nevertheless, these are the best numbers available. The note at the bottom is also from Antaris.

*The list of production guns was taken from the factory logs of "completed" pistols. These years do NOT always coincide with the proofing code. Guns may have been considered complete either prior to having been proofed or after having been received back from the proofing house. Shipping and receiving delays, clerical errors, and other factors all lead to some inconsistencies. For axample, the M904's were generally proofed in 1933, yet the facotry did not record them as having been completed until 1934. Similarly M902 #26705 was considered complete by the factory in 1933, yet the gun was not proofed until 1935. As such, there may be two of more years discrepancy between the date that the factory considered the pistol completed and the year it was proofed.
